Who is Alistair Findlay?
That is the question, isn't it?

Alistair Findlay is a writer, father, child at heart, and husband. He was born in Shepperton, Middlesex many moons ago and currently resides in Berkshire with his wife, and two daughters (yes, Skye Roxy and Astrid Kara), dreaming of being a superhero.
​
When younger, the one and only Jacqueline Wilson visited his primary school, and Alistair was inspired, rushing home to begin writing stories. This remained with him for years, but it wasn't until the birth of Skye, that he was inspired to write a full-on novel.
​
Inspired by his love of action films, his daughter's fearlessness, and toughness, Alistair set out to create a role model for his daughters to look up to when older, and Skye Roxy was born (in the literary sense). Then once his second daughter was born, Alistair thought it best he create a series inspired by her (her stubbornness, ability to argue anything and her thirst for knowledge), so that Astrid Kara thriller series was born.
​
Alistair has never won any competitions for his writing and this is for the same reason he has never won the lottery. He never submits any of his work or buys a ticket. He has been a salesman, a personal trainer, and a meter fitter. He's worked in shops, and restaurants, and for the government. He has edited films, delivered furniture, and worked with kids, but what he loves the most, is to write.

Alistair Findlay has big plans for Skye Roxy and Astrid Kara, as well as many other young adult stories and books, so he hopes that you enjoy them enough to keep coming back for more.
